WELCOME TO

At The Rec, we pride ourselves on providing the most versatile site in Copmanthorpe and surrounding areas. With facilities ranging from a public bar, multi-sport venue and a party venue, there’s plenty for all to enjoy at The Rec.

Since new ownership in late 2022, David & Emily have transformed The Rec into a bold & exciting venue that is open every day with plenty of family-friendly events and nights dedicated to those party-goers. Their main focus is to provide Copmanthorpe with a central community venue that is accessible from tots to seniors.

AWARD-WINNING BUSINESS IN 2025

In October 2025, we won Bronze at the YorkMix Choice Awards under ‘Best Business or Organisation For Giving Back’. For a small independent business, this is an incredible achievement that was made possible by supporters of The Rec!
